Using the standard config file (of ver. 0.70) with DOSBox 0.70, USB joystick Logic3 PC USB GAME-PAD is no longer recognized within DOSBox using either:

joysticktype=auto

or as in the old config:

joysticktype=2axis

I tried to play with the other joystick configuration options in the conf file but it didn't seem to work.

The joypad drivers are installed and it works in Windows. The same joypad used to work with DOSBox 0.65

Any tips besides using the keyboard mapper?

Solved.
Not sure how.
Before installing the USB joypad I used to have a PSX gamepad installed.
Some Windows games forcefully used the PSX pad without allowing me to choose which pad to use.
When I got the USB pad and saw it was cool and handy I removed the PSX pad drivers to solve the issues above.

When DOSBox 0.70 was out I tried it and no joystick were recognized at all.
At this point I wanted to know if DOSBox 0.70 would work with the PSX pad, so I reinstalled the PSX drivers and it works. Not only but now, after reinstalling the PSX pad driver the USB pad works too.
That's it.
