Several games I have tried to install (ej. Privateer 2, amongst others), required (in DOS times) that information be included in the Config.Sys file for DOS (for example, the classic Files=XX Buffer=XX and such data).

Is there an equivalent to the Config.sys file in Dosbox? If not, how do you overcome these issues?

Thank you.

AR.

For stuff like FILES= or BUFFERS=, you don't have to worry about it with DosBox. The provided emulated DOS environment won't fail on allocating these resources the way DOS did back in the day.

If it does not work for some games anyway (very rare) you can create a dummy config.sys file and just insert the desired values into this dummy file. This may work, at least it is worth a try. But regularly you don't have to worry about these issues.
