when I used DOS, years ago, I did simply modify text files by using EDIT command but I'm seeing that there is any EDIT command in dosbox..
How can I modify autoexec.bat ?

a) there's no autoexec.bat in dosbox and dosbox doesn't use one
b) your host OS should have a good number of text editors...
first thank you for the very fast answer.
if I do:
Z:\> dir
I get the list of files and there is an autoexec.bat ... I can't modify it?..
And I don't know where I can find it to modify with my OS..
P.S. : I'm using linux
Look at the end of dosbox.conf, that's where you place your autoexec commands in DosBox.
If you want to use autoexec.bat with DosBox then you'll have to install MS-DOS (or other DOS) in DosBox.
Dosbox doesn't include EDIT, you'll have to add it yourself.
I have read in a lot of sites about this dosbox.conf but really I'm getting crazy..
I don't know where this dosbox.conf is...
Maybe this dosbox.conf is only in windows version?
Where I can find it in linux? Beagle doesn't find it!
Read section 11 of the DOSBox ReadMe-file. In the Linux version of DOSBox this file is not called dosbox.conf but .dosboxrc and should be in your home directory.
You need to do a Z:\>config -writeconf ~/.dosboxrc first, then you can edit the autoexec-section.
Because it starts with a dot (.) it is usually hidden for view, but you can see it if you do a ls -la .dosboxrc.
