To set where DOSBOX MIDi s going, I select output in XP's control panel.

I'd like it to go to *two* places, but I can only select one in XP.

I want Dosbox MIDI to go to a USB midiport *AND* to a second place - the input of an XP music program..

Any way?

Both MIDI-Yoke (which is more compatible with Windows 2000 than XP) and MIDI-OX (the latest version MIDI-OX32 was built with XP in mind) might do what you need - as long as DOSBox's MIDI output is standard. Essentially you install either app as a midi driver (Under Sound and Audio devices in XP) and then you can elect to route inputs and outputs virtually. Many computer musicians use these apps to 'play' virtual instruments.

I use these programs, but I dont see how they can do just what I'm asking.

If i send dosbox midi to hardware MIDI I/F, its not being sent to Yoke.

If I send to Yoke instead, then hardware doesnt see it.

Another PROGRAM can see it, but the MIDI I/F can't..

You might want to check out the MidiTrix product by Mr. Hermann Seib, who has written quite a few MIDI utilities. This might be what you are looking for from your problem description. Works with Virtual MIDI cables...

The link is MidiTrix at his website...

Hope this helps,
