DosBox doesn't support TCP/IP though so you'll need to use SLIP to use DosBox's emulated modem to access the internet.

or you can add TCP/IP support to DosBox along with the emulated NIC cards and then you'd be ready to go.

What host OS are you using?
What is the DOS program?
Does it require LAN access?
What does it use for LAN? TCP/IP? IPX?

Actually the program works under win XP & CMD in all PC's but I would install Ubuntu with DOSBOX.

The program was created by a "freelance" programmer some years ago, so it is not a commercial and known product.

This shop use this program for the administration, book-keeping, manage in-out goods, sales ecc.. ecc.. and doesn't use any internet connection, but it works in the private lan of 4 pc's (and a server).

About your last question actually I don't know which is the connection protocol used in the net 😅

I will see it in the next few days. 😖

But indeed, getting DOS "packet drivers" to work can be a real pain.
