You can find D.O.G. 1.54 as the Experimental D.O.G. on my download page.

The "Add Dosbox" message is because, although you may have installed DOSBox on you're computer, D.O.G. won't know where DOSBox got installed unless you tell it where it is. This only needs to be done once for each DOSBox you want to use, D.O.G. will stop complaining after you configure one DOSBox.

D.O.G. doesn't come with an installer. It is only an executable, extract the archive to where you want D.O.G. to reside. To "uninstall" just delete that directory, as D.O.G. is a confined working program. The only thing it can alter on the system is the Environment Variable "SDL_VIDEODRIVER".

The feature mentioned in that thread is about the little localize button on the Input Devices->Keyboard tab in the Profile Manager (Profile -> New/Edit Profile). It uses the Windows System Registry to determine your keyboard layout.
