I installed windows 3.1 following this excellent guide.

Windows 3.1x DOSBox Guide

and although there are specific instructions in order to install a soundblaster driver, I was thinking if it is possible to install gravis ultrasound. Somehow I see a ultrasound driver in the midi section of windows 3.1 but it is not working correctly.

Is it possible to have a GUS midi driver under windows 3.1? If yes, is there a guide somewhere you can direct me to? I did try the search function of the forum 😀

I found the answer. I am answering here in case someone ever has the same question

1. Copy your ultrasound directory from dosbox in your windows 3.1 folder [just to make sure that it's mounted when dosbox starts]
2. When in windows 3.1 [or 3.11 i suppose] go to control panel - drivers - chose add and then the first option [updated/unlisted driver].

Done.

Then navigate to
