I am currently running windows 7 and I have just downloaded the newest version of DosBox. The only problem I am currently getting is when I run it in full screen the colors get all messed up and I can't seem to fix the problem. I was wondering if this is a common issue and if there is a way to fix it? I have tried a few things but nothing is working? Sorry if this was already answered but I couldn't find anything that answered this question.

Yes, it is a common issue. It is caused by explorer corrupting the palette of 8bit graphics. Edit the config file and choose something other than "surface" for the "output" setting. Personally, I prefer ddraw, others prefer opengl. Play around with the settings until you find one that a) works and b) looks good for you.

I found that the following net tip restored correct color for the fullscreen displays of the game ARE WE THERE YET and WHERE IN EUROPE IS ... Previously only the windowed display showed correct colors. 😁

Go to dosbox.conf (or whatever file you're using for configuration)
Change the part that says "output=surface" to "output=opengl"
Now dosbox should look fine in fullscreen.
