Motherboard - Unknown, whatever a M17x alienware laptop from 2009 has

Processor type and speed - Intel Core 2 Quad Q9000 2.0 Ghz

Amount and type of RAM - 1333 6 GB

Video board w/ RAM amount and type - Internal Nvida Geforce 9400 w/ two discrete Nvidia Geforce GTX 280M

Sound board - Integrated

Operating system - Win 7

Description of problem - Unable to use "=" either due to keyboard layout or stupidity.

Reproducibility of problem - always

Sound mode used - Default sp16

Steps already attempted to solve the problem - thoroughly read the manual to try and prove I was just being stupid.

I figure its the keyboard layout for my M17x laptop. And I would like to change the layout or keymap "=" to a different key if possible.
Original reason for discovering this was trying to change sound mode to try and get Alien Logic: Skyrealms of Jorune to work.

Please teach an old dog some new tricks, cause I'm almost positive I just missed something stupid.

P.S. As an after thought if anyone knows of an alternate way of doing "=" such as the ALT-92 for "\" please let me know when you read this post.
