Hi,

i want to build a barebone pc for playing my old games via dosbox.
Now i was wonderin if a intel cpu with HD 4000/3000 graphics will
be fast enough for 2D Dos Games with scaler set to hq3x and most
old 3D Games like Descent or Unreal II (including 3dfx).
Anyone here who can share his experience with that configuration ?

Greetings

Cir

I think the CPU, RAM are the more limiting issues. Unreal (the 3d shooter) isn't a DOS game, btw.

The Intel HD 3000/4000 series GPUs are more than enough for DosBox with scalers and old Windows D3D/OpenGL games 😉. You'll need a Glide wrapper to run 3dfx games (but you probably know that already).
