DOSbox 0.60 allows a 386 to be emulated. How can I then set it to 286-mode?

I'd like to test a few DOS programs if they behave correctly on 286-systems without having one myself.

Or do I need an older dosbox version that does not have 386-emulation?

is there an entry in the config-file for this?

speed is not important, cpu architecture is.

Recommend you add this in the near future, Harekiet, or MESS will have DOSBox's balls for lunch in the 286-emulation arena. My $0.02.

That, or the user will be forced to use MESS (or any other various and sundry 286 PC emulator).

😁 I was being a tad sarcastic.

But way down the road in development, it would be a nice feature IMHO. Maybe by then, I could even write it. *heh*

at runtime (e.g. configfile) would be "hard and a waste of branches.
compiletime it's better to code it....
with a #define or so.
