If you have a hard time installing the 3DFX driver in Windows 95 (fix)

Posting it here as VOGONS guides topics seems to be locked, so can't reply there.
I spent the last two days trying to figure out why the 3DFX is never detected, here's the cause and a fix !

If you cannot see the 3DFX device and/or the Add Wizard popping up to ask for installing it,
you need to manually add the 'PCI Bus' device and right after the 3DFX will be detected and you can install it then.

(Done with the latest build of Ykhwong and this guide http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=17324)

Maybe someone with enough rights can update the guide to feature this information ...

Thanks to the devs for making this happen :) :) :)

You could also use one of the later modified yhkwong builds by truth5678 which handles the 3dfx Voodoo device better.
Voodoo2s aren't 100mhz stock
Geforce256 isn't released as a beta on New Years '99 under the Quadro brand
DOS gaming isn't a bilinear 320x200 16:10
DOS PCs aren't better than the Macintosh
DOSBox is not for running Windows 9x
SGL != Glide
