Some of my game require a higher cycles or frameskip, so I have tried to set up a configfile to automatically change these settings, but I cannot get it to work. What EXACTLY is the procedure for setting up a configfile. What am I doing wrong?
you're providing very little information on what you tried. so I'll start very basic
start dosbox
in dosbox:
config -writeconf c:\dosbox.txt
exit
in windows:
double click on c:\dosbox.txt
change what you like
runs dosbox like
dosbox -conf c:\dosbox.txt

Thanks. That seems to work. The Readme file did not say that I had to specify the directory or make it a txt file.
P.S. I hope this isn't too off topic, but how long does it take to register? I registered last week and still can't log in to get help with some specific games.

No, I never did (unless the subject line was "free Viagra" or something like that). When I try to log on, it says that my account is innactive and if I try to register a second time, it says my e-mail is already taken.
Try using a real email address?
