OK, while I am running DOSBox, its screen is flickering almost every 5 seconds. It is not exactly flickering, but it seems like pieces of some screen region appear in different other screen regions - that`s the best explanation I could do:)
Every game, or just a specific game?
Video drivers will cause this problem, I know some of the old nVidia detonators did.

Yep, every game. And not even just game, DOSBox screen is blinking itself, thou not as often, as games. This problem is pissing me off seriously. I`ll try to change my drivers and say if something changed.
P.S. Sorry for that not so clever question about 256 colors - I knew the solution myslef, was just so lazy to think by myslef.
yeah it's video drivers. I used to have it myself as well.
Just make sure you got a new sdl a new directx and a new videocard drivers.
