Hi,
I try to get an old programm to run under Dosbox. I know Dosbox is meant for games only still I hope someone has some advice for me 😀

Multiple progamms are already running via dosbox. But now I have one programm that uses mutated vowels (Umlauts) in it's filename and so it's not working correctly.

Is their anyway to get Umlauts in dosbox running or is their an alternative to dosbox running under Win 7 64Bit?

First, this forum is for games, not DOSBox, but most importantly, DOSBox IS NOT SUITED TO RUN YOUR NON-GAMING DOS APPLICATION

I've encountered at least one game that has a similar problem, so this might be worth mentioning... with high-ascii characters, if Windows shows you the correct filename (with the umlauts), DOSBox probably won't, and vice versa. Ensure that the filename is as it should be by renaming it in DOSBox *using the right code page*.

But as for programs, yes, what Collector said.

If this problem does also relate to games in DOSBox, then perhaps this should be moved to the DOSBox forum.
