Is there any way using the autoexec (or any other portion) of the config file to get DOSBox to close automatically when a program it is running is closed? It is not being started via a batch file.

Just add 'exit' to the autoexec section of the config file.

Either I'm not doing something right, or that's not correct. All adding exit to the autoexec file does is close DOSBox as soon as it is opened.

Put your mounting commands and the program you want to start before the exit.
