I am trying to get this game called Silent Steel to run in DosbBox

Problem is I keep getting a message saying 16 bit apps are not supported

I know this is a game from the 95 Windows platform

Any thoughts on how I could confifure DosBox to run this game?

If you run a Windows game in DOS then that is the message you will receive.

You need to run the game in a supported version of Windows.

So I can't use DosBox for this game?

I would have to probably install Windows 95 in a VM an run the game that way?

That's one option. The other is to use dosbox, install win 3.x and try to run the game from win 3.x running in dosbox.
From my personal experience, for what concerns games, win 3.x run good enough to play games on them.

Are you saying install win 3.x in DosBox?

Could you install a O.S. in DosBox?

Did not know you ould do that, being this game is from 1995, maybe the better O.S. option would be Windows 95?

So there is absolutely no way to get this 16 bit game to run independently inside of DosBox without having a O.S. as a baseline platform.

As it says it's a WINDOWS 16bit program NOT a Dos 16bit program.
Installing Windows 3.x is kind of easy IF you have a legit copy of Windows 3.x
