Why are some games on the dosbos so terrible slow when running them? Why is it impossible to play some old games like privateer on normal Speed on todays highend machines. It run well 10 years ago on an old 386 DX40.

Am I doing something wrong or is this an DosBox Problem which can not be solved.

Or maybe is it an Problem which will be solved in later versions?

living with ist isnt so simple 😁

there are all these very very god old games. And I realy love to play them. And with this dosbox a lot of them are working so good that you want more and more of this classic gaming experience back 😉

So thats its very sad when some games are too slow to be played 😉

But did you tried to overclock DOSBox? DM2 was slow with default DOSBox cycles, but after a few presses of magic combination CTRL+F12 it now works like a charm on my P2.4 😀 DOSBox "overclocking" may sometime produce distorted sound, then try to again a little decrease the cycles by CTRL+F11. Check the Readme.txt for more useful information about DOSBox configuration.
