hi !

just installed DOSbox/w32 on a w2k machine (german version), now I noticed
that although most characters are correctly available, some characters
such as for example the backslash don't seem to be available in the DOSbox.
Off course this is a 'problem' regarding DOSbox's usability ...(think about mouting directories etc.)

I tried typing in these characters by using their respective ASCII codes:
to no avail.
Either I am doing something absolutely wrong or this is a bug.

I am now going to give it a try under Linux.

Hi !

To a certain extent: yes.
Anyway, thanks for the links and hence the efforts 😉

Another idea I had while using DosBox: how about creating a
shell-extension, to enhance the context menu in Explorer/Konqueror...
to enable running a specific application with DosBox from within
the file explorer of the corresponding OS ?
It might even support different DosBox-Profiles/Configs.

Thanks so far !
