Windows 7 64-bit with DOSBOX 0.74 on a Samsung R580 Laptop.

When I run Keymapper and map the keys not recognized by DOSBOX (`=[]\') and then save the map and exit the keys work fine as long as I don't exit DOSBOX. The map is saved in my username/AppData/Local/DOSBOX directory. If I then open DOSBOX it says it's using the map but the keys return nothing on the command line. If I then open the map file all those keys have "key 0". If I manually type in the correct scan codes, save the file, and open DOSBOX the keys still return nothong on the command line. Here are the map files and the scan codes:

The actual scan codes (produced by KeyCodes3):

OnKeyPress [
OnKeyup, Key code=219, Control keys=, Key name OEM specific

OnKeyPress ]

OnKeyPress \

Can anyone help with this?

By the way both my wireless and bluetooth keyboards produce the same results.

Does this apply to your system ?
Right-Shift / Backslash Keyboard Problems (SOLVED!)

What about the usescancode option ?
Although it might a similar problem as the one I recently fixed, where the winkey couldn't be mapped on Linux.

"usescancodes=true" is set in my dosbox.conf, changing it to "false" makes no difference.

Well since I have a Samsung (Korean) laptop I do have the MCIR 109 keyboard driver mentioned. I'm not sure I'm ready to mess with changing drivers at this moment. ALL my other emulators/simulators read the keys, only regular DOSBOX doesn't.

As an aside I downloaded and tried the Daum-SVN version of DOSBOX and that works correctly so I still see it as a DOSBOX problem.

Just to be clear, if I run DOSBOX and define the keys with Ctrl-F1, save and exit back to DOSBOX they work. It's the Keymapper that does not save, or recognize the scan codes for those keys. It's the keymapper that needs a fix as far as saving the scan codes, DOSBOX itself works fine with the keys IF I DEFINE THEM EACH TIME I RUN DOSBOX.
