Hi, is there a trick to getting Windows 3.1 to run in 1024x768, 16.7M colors? The OEMSETUP.INF in the 1.70 Trio drivers has it listed, but it can't be selected in Setup. I also tried to use yhkwong's build with vmemsize=4, but still no dice.
Did you try setup.exe from the dosbox prompt?
Instead of starting windows 3.11, cd to the windows folder and start setup.exe
Sorry I fell off the wagon there, but I found the problem. The lines for that resolution are actually commented out in the INF file. I uncommented them, but it still did not work. I went back to the INF and found two sections headed by brackets [D132L] and [D132S], and some of the values under them looked strange. I edited them to roughly match the 16-bit sections, and voila, it worked.
