Hi! First of all: Amazing job w/ DB! I've been using it since the beginning! It has has gotten so much better so quickly! 😁

Now my question: I noticed that my Linux distro came w/ a pakage called "Bochs." I have no interest in using it since I've been using DB for so long (I'm very comfortable with it). But I'm wondering, how does it really compare to DB? Of course I could try it, but I wouldn't really know unless I speant a lot of time with it. Has anyone tried it?

Thanx!

In comparison to DOSBOX (which targets DOS games/programs), Bochs wants to emulate the whole PC (this means you can install DOS, Linux, Windows 9x, Windows NT ... or at least you should be able to do that (I had never much success with Bochs 🙁 )).
The idea is very good, the reality is problematic. Apart from being rather user unfriendly (which is not problem for me), it is also quite buggy.
DOSBOX is far better and easier to use for DOS programs (and especially games).
If you want more (e.g Windows), you can try Bochs (but be prepared that it is nothing for newbies). Personally I would rather use some other emulator.

Oh I see. That makes sense. Thanks for the explanation. So, basically it depends on what you're doing with it. For me, games = DB. 😀

Try this: http://www.winehq.com/ I've used it for a few programs (Incredimail, device drivers, etc...). It's pretty good. 😀

Thanks again!
