In DOSBox debugger, when I start a program with it and press the F5 key, the program will start to execute normally.

Is there any way to pause execution of program in middle of something, so I could then easier check what is currently going on in the code?

Just tested it and seems like Alt+Pause works when I press the key combination in the DOSBox window. But when pressing Alt+Pause in the debugger window, it doesn't seem to work.

Is there some way to redefine the pause key combination in DOSBox debugger? When pressing Alt+Pause in the DOSBox window, then it pauses at wrong place because of the Alt key the game uses.

No it needs to be at the dosbox window.
You can change the debugger key-combination though. Just use the keymapper to change it.
