I have a HP 635 laptop, running Windows 7, with AMD E-300 dual core processor.
I d/l DOSBox v0.74 and loaded it. No error messages on loading and created a desktop icon.
When I click the DOSBox icon it fail to load completely. See the attached pic for details. MS then wants to close the program and it is the only choice.

Any thought as to what is happening? Works fine on my desktop with Win 7.

Thanks!

Try changing the output setting in the DOSBox config file.

Just another user that likes old OSes and videogames, nothing interesting to see here...

This is the current setting:
output=surface

These seems to be the options:
# output: What video system to use for output.
# Possible values: surface, overlay, opengl, openglnb, ddraw.

What would I change to, overlay?
Would I need to change any other settings?

My laptop uses an AMD Radeon HD 6310 Graphics card/chip.

Wait!!!, Just powered it up again and DOSBox is working and fully open. Strange ...

I had rebooted twice yesterday after loading. I won't argue with it, hopefully whatever needed to be configured has been.

Thanks!
