Hi guys. I am trying to play indycar racing 2 in dosbox. I can get the game to work but dosbox doesnt recognize the throttle. It appears to be tied to "z rotation". There is no z axis in the mapping. The brake pedal is tied to the y axis.
Im using a thrustmaster ferrari gt wheel. I would appreciate any help greatly. Thank you.
Have you tried changing joysticktype=auto in your .conf file to joysticktype=4axis? There's also the "fcs" type for Thrustmaster, but I imagine that that might be more specific to Thrustmaster joysticks than wheels. There's also the swap34 option to swap the 3rd and 4th axes, which might help. I think that all of those are options for 0.74 DOSBox, but, if not, try an SVN build, instead.
BTW, you mention mapping, but I suppose that you could mean in-game mapping. If so, perhaps DOSBox's mapping--by pressing Ctrl+F1 in the game--would help.
ive tried every setting. It seems as the gas pedal is tied to a z axis? the y axis only recognizes the brake pedal. when i press the gas its if it doesnt exist at all.

Are you playing the DOS or the Windows 95 version?
That question is redundant because Windows 95 doesn't run correctly in DOSBox.
Just another user that likes old OSes and videogames, nothing interesting to see here...
