Finally got the screen size to change in a window after much tweaking.
Found a site that had what I needed.

BIG ISSUE! 😲
Going full-screen the brightness goes FULL!
Coming back to windowed mode it is still FULL until the system settings are adjusted.

computer: Dell Inspirion M5030
os: Linux Mint Mate 18.2

Looking forward to getting some of my old stuff going again. 😀
