Hello,

I recently installed these only to realize that despite the game running without any problems and the effects being audible there is no in game music...

Upon further investigation my "HMISET.cfg" file looks like this:

[DIGITAL]
DeviceName = Sound Blaster 16
DeviceIRQ = 5
DeviceDMA = 1
DevicePort = 0x220
DeviceID = 0xe016

[MIDI]
DeviceName = No MIDI Device
DevicePort = 0xffffffff
DeviceID = 0xffffffff

Any help would be appreciated.

The "MIDI device" is for music, and you currently don't have one selected, so you need to run SETUP.EXE and choose. Typical choices for DOSBox are: "Sound Blaster 16" (port 388) or "MPU-401" (port 330).

Also, you should select IRQ 7 for SB digital sound in the setup program unless you've changed the SB IRQ setting in DOSBox. The digital sound may be tolerant enough to still work when given a wrong IRQ number, but it's always better to configure sound devices correctly.

Thank you for the quick response.

The MPU-401, port 330 did the trick.

Cheers.
