Drives and folders you want to mount need to exist. Please show a screenshot with Explorer showing these drives and folders. What letter does dour CD-Rom drive have? Which operating system do you use?
I've been told it has to exist but where? operating system windows 7 pro. my dvd is drive D:, documents on drive C: gw basic is there. I get only one return from dosbox that drive doesn't exist.
screenshots and screenshots of your dosbox window when the commands fail, please
Also, you wrote:
mount d d:\-t cdrom
That needs a space after "d:\" (and before "-t-")
wrote:mount c c:\documents\gwbasic
Methinks you make too many assumptions. Find out for sure what the actual path of your GWBASIC folder is before attempting to mount it.
Edit: i.e., if you open command prompt and type
c:
cd \documents\gwbasic
Would it work? I don't think the Windows 7 directory structure works like this. It's probably something like c:\Users\Your User Name\GWBASIC
