I am trying to run my "simpler" BASIC in DOSBox in Win 10- e.g with line numbers and text. I have my Compaq Portable III BASIC V 3.3 (1987), but DOSBox returns the message "Incorrect DOS version". Mine is in Compaq MS-DOS V 3.3. How do I run this "simpler" BASIC form...it is similar to Commodore 64 BASIC.? I like the Fortran II syntax and don't want everything in "object oriented programs" or "structured programs" Thank you!

Ripsaw8080,

Thank you !! I tried it and it worked perfectly!! Now I can do all the simple mathematical calculations I had to leave 25 years ago!!

I had thought I needed to get my VIC 20 or Commodore 64 up and running again...since my Compaq Portable III has a "dysfunctional" display!

Regards
