This is probably an extremely stupid question, but how do I edit the configfile? The edit-command doesn't do the trick. What am I overlooking?
considering the "stupidness" of the question I assume you are a windows user.
Look in the startmenu in the folder dosbox and there you see a link called dosbox.conf
click that one.
