This is one of the best features I have ever seen/wanted/wished for. Thank you DOSBox crew. Perfect timing as well, since I'm planning to replay a lot of old games soon and will capture *all* the music!
I just thought about making a site for that but then again there's already http://adlib.superfighter.com/ - but it has been dormant for pretty long. If any of you has submitted any tunes and received no reply please contact me and I'll set up a sexy AdLib site. 😀

Ooooh, this is good.

Heh, that'd be a good idea, but what about them other 'chiptunes' site?
One I know would be http://www.chiptunes.de
But anyway...I'm currently trying to rip out some tunes from some 'Family Production' games (For a korean defunct company, their adlib music sure kicked some major keester!)

Currently doing Olmang Jolmang Paradise.
The other thing I like about the .DRO specification is that it is still readable when data from the end of the file is removed via hex editor...making it easier to 'straighten out' certain songs to stop at the right time.
Anyway, I might be interested, but I've got to sort out some problems with a few rips.

You should view this thread in the development forum. I am working heavily on adlib ripping and playback capabilities and am soliciting feedback.

In summary, it is safe to go ahead and rip all you want, but try not to waste too much time snipping them exactly at beginning and end--I am making a nice slicer&dicer for the logfiles. Additionally, you will find that the current adplug does not play opl3-based DRO files correctly. If you are actively ripping, then I can assist you mightily by providing one that does.
