Im trying to do this so I can play games with DOSbox but it doesnt seem to work.
Everytime I uncheck the square of a folder that is set to read only it seems to reset the configuration right away and it doesnt change. Is there something Im doing wrong?
You don't need to set the attribute to read only. In fact, most games require the files to writable, event if they don't modify them (the files are opened in read/write mode, even when it's not needed).
What you describe is weird, though. Do you try to modify the attributes from Windows or From DOSBox? The attrib command in DOSBox is dummy, so it's normal it doesn't change anything.
Sorry just edited the post, what Im actually trying to do is switch it OFF.
And yes Im doing that on windows, no clue whats going wrong...
What Windows verison are you running?
