hi, i wondered if this would be at all possible on the new range of smartphones (Smartphone Windows Mobile 2003) it uses a lot of the XP system setup and so would it be possible to modify a dosbox version to run?

Haven't really kept up with the smartphones but aren't the average speeds like: 133Mhz, 200, 324Mhz, 400, 624Mhz. With usually around 32mb-64mb of RAM?
Not sure what performance would be like for Dos games on an ARM/RISC architecure on a smartphone of less than 600mhz. Probably not too good
yes. those specs are about right. mine has 32mb ram and 200mhz processor. pity it wouldnt run though. would definitley have been fun!
how come speeds need to be so great to run such (originally) low spec games?

Depends on the game. Pong/Artura/Frogger should work fine....
