when i put mount c c:\dosprog on dosbox 0.62 it says directory c:\dosprog doesn't exist what do i do ive been trying for more than 1 hour!!!!!! 😵

Are you sure that the directory exists? i have never heard about any problem with simple mounting like this...
Also post in the proper forum next time and choose better title.

The directory in question is the dosprog directory on C:\
you might want to try this
mount c c:\

Kanangea, download one of the DOSBox frontends (e.g. D-Fend or Boxer) and use that to configure DOSBox with. I think a user-friendly, graphical frontend will make it much easier for you to use DOSBox.

directory = folder
On the ms-dos era, directories were called, you guessed it, DIRECTORIES. When Windows O.S. became commonplace, they insisted on calling them FOLDERS. 😁
