I have never used debian linux before. I used to use Suse. Help me only to compile dosbox is the only thing I need.

thanks

I downloaded the libsdl...deb I renames it to libsdl.deb
I put apt-get install libsdl and I get the same error
why this ?

I'm thinking about to buy a debian-linux book

well if you downloaded it you should do dpkg -i filename
You might need several dependencies...
If you want to install software the debian way you should create a working apt.

if you are running testing/stable. You should wait a few days as the dosbox for debian should appear on the debian site soon.
