Hi,
Is it possible to live reload the DOSBox settings from the outside of the process through some kind of Unix feature or DosBox command line argument?
I've created a retro PC case with a turbo button and would love to change DOSBox emulation speed based on a button press without restarting the whole system.

How about some launcher front-end that lists the games, and starts DOSBox with the right settings?

DBGL is a launcher that runs from Linux, or RetroArch.

Most settings can be set from dosbox, just type:

1sbtype=sbpro1

But [machine] specific settings cannot,
as they are initialized upon boot, iirc.

EDIT: Now that I read it

1cycles=10000

Change cyclesup and cyclesdown in the config to be inverse values of each other and configure the turbo button to send ctrl-F11/F12 to DOSBox.
