How do I enable the DPMI support in DOSBox? Since the DPMI support for DOSBox is disabled, not even a DPMI client like "CWSDPMI" would work. This may mean that nothing compiled with "DJGPP" would run in DOSBox, if the DPMI support cannot be enabled.

Built-in DPMI support is not disabled - it was removed completely because it was not needed anymore - normal DPMI servers like CWSDPMI work without any problem in DOSBOX.
DPMI programs/games work as in normal DOS (usually using their own bundled server).

If you have a problem with a DPMI program/game then:
a) it has nothing to do with DPMI
b) you are using Mac etc. - according to some reports here in not so distant past I suspect that we have still a "little endian/bug endian" bug somewhere (this can break some PM programs including those using DPMI)

Anyway: more details are needed.

Try Googling a little...

Keywords: Univesa, UniVBE, Scitech, Display Doctor, Scitech display doctor, etc...

Anyway, almost every video card produced has VESA support built-in into bios. Just use some utility for reporting VESA modes.
Keep also in mind that certain programs need disabling "Linear Framebuffer modes -> LFN". Ken Silverman's NOLFB does just that.
