Can anyone make a very clear step-by-step of how to mount a drive with Dosbox in OS X? The instructions read
z:/mount c /home/user/dosprog
But that doesn't work. I'm confused.

/home/user is the Linux directory structure. In OS X, it would be /Users/username. Try that; it should help.
Thank you so much! I knew it had to be something like that but couldn't get it figured out on my own. Yay! Now I can play my old DOS games on my Mac 😀
For Mac OS X, I got the c drive mounted by typing in mount c dosbox.app
Now I can't get the cdrom mounted. I tried the path mount d e:\, and mount d c:\example when I did that it said c drive does not exist. Can anyone help?
I successfully mounted the c drive and the cdrom drive by entering the path
mount c /
and
mount d -t cdrom /
but now, the cdrom isn't being read. I can't install my game for some reason. Can anyone help?
That's probably because / is the root folder of the hard drive, not the CDROM. I don't know what you have to tell it to mount the CDROM drive on a Mac.
Again, if any of the devs are reading: these Mac mount commands REALLY need to be added to the readme...

Like anyone would actually look there.....heh.
I would...when answering newbie questions...It'd be nice to be able to tell them to RTFM, but I can't because it's not there 😜
