i have a basic question about serial ports in DOSBox. is it possible to run two serial ports at the same time? i am running on windows 95 (could upgrade machine to later OS) and want to use the direct serial routine to talk to both COM1 and COM2 at the same time.

there is not much documentation about the directserial routines, and from the examples it looks like only one COM port is supported at a time. please say it aint so. 😀

i see that hal-9000 has rewritten the direct serial routines, which is great news. if DOSBox does not support two serial ports at once, i would be interested in doing some coding to make that happen.
