Hy folks.

I'm not a crack. That's the reason for this question.
I've got a DOS program which needs 2.5 MB free XMS.
The Software is used to connect to a serial device.
The software seems to be working fine with Dosbox 0.61 except
the graphics.
But I definitively need direct serial port access. Which is possible
with Vers. 0.63. But unfortunately I'm not able to install the software
from within the Dosbox. Which was possible in Vers. 0.61.
So the software is not able to get a needed configuration file.
Has anyone an Idea how to get this fixed?

Well, I'm not sure I translated your post into English properly, but why not install it with 0.61 then run it with 0.63?

We need more details about your 0.63 configuration, things you did (exact typed commands and so on), error messages, etc...

Hello eL_PuSHeR

Let's get more specific.

I' tried Dosbox 0.61 and 0.63 on different computers, allways the same result.

Here's what I'm doing, I start Dosbox, mount drive C and change the directory to scitex. Then I start the wished program, called jetdiag.
In version 0.61 I get the following in the back:

CONFIG:Loading settings from config file C:\Programme\DOSBox-0.61\dosbox.conf
MIDI:Opened device:win32
Read from B 0
Read from B 0
Read from E 0
Read from E 0
Read from E 0

Using Dosbox 0.63 the same way. I see this in the back:

CONFIG:Loading settings from config file C:\Programme\DOSBox-0.63\dosbox.conf
MIDI:Opened device:win32

And that's it, all the stuff about read, nothing's gonna happen.
If I start an .exe file which can't be handled from dosbox, ver 0.61 shows
me an error message bevor exiting.
Vers. 0.63 just does nothing. Freez, and has to be closed thru mysef.
