Switching CD images in a game

Hi,

first of all I am running Linux (FC3) and I have problems switching CDs while inside a game.

My first attempt was to mount the cd images outside of dosbox and upon request to switch the CD inside a game to u(n)mount and mount the next cd. Forced unmount does not work (dev. busy) and if I use lazy mode or just mount the next loop device in the same folder it is first recognized when I restart DosBox.

Then I tried using imgmount inside of DosBox, but there is not way switching between the CDs and I don't know if when submitting more than one image in the imgmount command really mounts them. I read here somewhere that CTRL+F4 switches the images, but it doesn't. Also CTRL+various F-keys did not help.

Please help out here.

I don't know if it works, but try mounting the second CD in the same dir as the first CD (just like you described), then press Ctrl-F4. That may or may not tell dosbox to check for new files, it depends a bit on how exactly dosbox accesses the files, never tried it. Please tell me if it works 😉
