I downloaded the gus411a-f files, extracted and installed the DOS drivers, went through the setup (skipping the IRQ errors) and everything. The only game so far that has used the Gravis Ultrasound normally is Realms of Chaos(and there is still crackling to be heard here), Raptor used it, but there was tons of distortion on the sound effects and slowdown at the same cycle count that worked fine with SB enabled. I set GUS in the OMF2097 setup menu, and it said the GUS settings were acceptable, but when I loaded the game there was no music. Jazz Jackrabbit refused to start after setting GUS (I deleted the autoexec.bat file to no avail). I had tried it with a few others...but you get the picture. Has anybody else had this problem? Here are my system specs if they can help in any way:

AMD Athlon XP 2600+
768MB PC2700 RAM
GeForce FX 5200 128MB
integrated nForce 2 Audio and Network card
Windows XP Home (Service Pack 1)
DOSBox 0.61 (9000 cycles, Normal core)

--EDIT--
Problem solved, all that was required was a simple update to DOSBox 0.63, there is still some minor crackling, but not as bad as before, and GUS emulation works fine with everything I have tried thusfar.
