Hello,

my problem is that I can't listen normally to sounds in Dosbox, for it stutters. No matter if I change soundcard, card settings, cycle rate, and it doesn't depend on which game I use, neither. My current settings are:

nosound=false
rate=22050
blocksize=4096
prebuffer=30

I have a notebook @ 2,2Mhz with integrated AC'97 soundcard

Things to try:
- Use the dynamic core
- Lower cycle rate until stuttering stops
- Make sure you have the latest video, sound, and motherboard chipset drivers installed for your system
- If you're using Windows, make sure you have the latest updates installed, especially DirectX

If that doesn't help:
- Use a different output device (e.g. surface, overlay, etc.)
- Set scaler to none
- Increase frameskip
