How do I slow down apps run under DosBox?

Hey guys. I was just wondering is there any way I can actually slow down
programs run under dosbox? I'm trying to play some really old dos games
and they absolutely fly, making them unplayable. I've got the latest dosbox
and DBFrontend. My computer is 800Mhz with 64MB of memory. Any help
would be greatly appreciated as I have downloaded all these games and
now I can't play any of them. 🙁

Use the normal core (or anything but the dynamic core) and set the cycles really really low - try starting at 2000 and set cycleslow to 100 so that you can go down in 100 cycle increments, then use ctrl+f11 to reduce the cycles while playing the game until it looks right.
