Dosbox 0.74-3 seems to run just fine on an old Gateway 2000 PII Windows 95 machine.
Has anyone tinkered with this lately?
I'd like to see an old CGA game run full-screen rather than on a small centered window.

Um, the lowest I was running DOSBox on must have been my ex Pentium 166 MMX running Win XP.
Back in the mid-2000s, I think. I was running a lot of emulators when XP wash fresh.
Especially SNES9x is what I fondly remember.
Anyway, that's likely not really helpful! 😅
If the current DOSBox doesn't cut it, I'd recommend trying 0.63.
As a last straw, so to say.
Maybe the others have some ideas, too?
Good luck! 🙂

I ended up installing 98SE and Nvidia drivers/directx. Full screen is now properly scaled.
Looks and plays gloriously.
At 3000 cycles cpu usage hovers around 85% for both Tandy and Adlib sound emulation, and mouse capture and keymapping seem to work great. I even played through some Might and Magic World of Xeen and it ran smoothly with excellent audio quality but a tad bit on the slow side. Digitized audio even worked like a charm.
I don't like emulation as a general rule, but emulating a 40 year old computer on a 24 year old system still captures my fancy just fine...
