I'm on PIII 650MHz. When I run dosbox (4 linux), the CPU usage raise to 100%, even though I do nothing.
I tried to use Ctrl+f7/f8 or ctrl+f11/f12 but Cpu usage always 100%. I tried to set core to dynamic, but still not work.

Anybody help me?? 😅

😅 <-- nice! 😁

If there is one of the "newer" DOS games you try to play on your 650mhz then it will most likely be too slow.

Since you're using Linux and a relatively slow CPU, I suggest you try DOSEMU instead if you want more speed from your DOS emulation.

Hi Willy,

I think I have seen similar questions pop here in the forum. I am not sure, but I think it is either a question of screen depths (8, 16, 24 or 32 bits), or a problem with the SDL library. So either try to change your X11 screen config to use 16 bits (I think the 24 bit depth is a no-no with DOSBox), or see if you can find a replacement / different version of SDL for DOSbox.
