I could have sworn there was a way to have DOSBox automatically map MT-32 instruments to similar General MIDI instruments so that MT-32 (and similar) games could be played with General MIDI synthesizers.

Is there such a way?

Perhaps I'm getting it confused with SCUMMVM?

It's hard to believe that I made do with DOSBox before Munt!

I suppose it might be possible to get MIDI-OX to do it...

VDMSound has a file called MT2GM.MAP which contains the mapping. I suppose DOSBox could be made to incorporate a similar MIDI mapping feature.

Ah, that's probably what I was thinking of. It would be nice to have this feature, although I don't really need it these days.
