That's just the status window. The main DOSBox window should open up separately with a big welcome message and a DOS prompt.

nope thats not it, the other window is blank.,..... any further suggestions?????

- make sure you're using the latest video drivers
- make sure you're using the latest directx version
- try different output modes
- make sure you're using 16- or 32-bit color (not 8-, 15- or 24-bit)

i updated directx and im not sure about the latest videodriver - i got a trident cyberblade e4-128 card standard with my laptop and i did a search for driver updates but nothing around really.

i tried different outputs bit i still just get the blank black box, any ideas?

i did a search in the file and it didnt have sdl_videodriver or windib.

i dont get it, do i insert this line into the .conf file? where?

1. Right-click "My Computer". Go to properties.
2. Go to the "Advanced" tab.
3. Click "Environment variables"
4. Go to "System Variables"
5. Click New
6. Add "SDL_VIDEODRIVER" to variable name.
7. Add "windib" to variable value.
8. Try dosbox again.

When iam going to start Z with Dos there comes a msg all the time "Missing File Main.pac" what skould i do?
