I check the dosbox-x, but i am in Debian 11, i use that dosbox, and is ok for me,

i like here in the simple one file configuration...

Only one thing can be adaptet from dosbox-x , not the whole printer stuff no......

Only , a print command to my folder as file, this i ok, no translations, no driver, just lpt1 -> external PrinterSpool Folder.

It is on me on linux, what i do with it.

So no Emulation Printing, no, just redirect it to a outside folder , say to DOS, the Printer is there out working on line 😉

I need only the file,

So please only make a dosbox lpt1 > rawfile (HostFs) , this is ok, enough 😉

I pick up the file as it come, esc/p esc/p2 , ps (QMS Color Script 100 in Win3.11 makes .ps automaticy), but you don't stay allways in win 3.11, no sometimes only in dos, industrial stuff software with dos printing......

Only make me habby , bypass lpt1 to a host file 😉

I pick up the rawfile then myself, is it a raw or a ps or a esc/p(2), let this be my problem, i take over in linux, i build in linux a pdf from that stuff......

so i only need a DOS/Win3.11/GEMDOS LPT1 > Host FS rawfile..... only make the pipe in dosbox.. is ok, i will be very happy 😉)

dosbox is the best DOS i ever saw, for industrial old Stuff also, i am not a gamer 😉

Some older industrial Inkjets ( https://5.imimg.com/data5/EB/WV/MY-2357307/ma … ers-500x500.jpg ) had also DOS inside, today, i don't now.. No i am in Coding, some other Stuff, Festo, Siemens, KlöchnerMöller, TetraPack, Mitsubishi, Omron,AllenBradley ......... ........... you whnow now what i mean now 😉

If someone is intresstet , in Linux Host FS Folder, printerspool for dosbox, it there in ,

i check out epsonps (convert esc/p(2) epson lx-800 (9pin)/epson lq-800(24pin)) , is older software, but makes half ok respectable outputs to .ps files.... then ps2pdf in linux, and you are fine....

I only have to make the readme (Liesmich.txt) also a part english inside...

i don't make the code , is older, halfway ok,... i just check out , adaptet to debian 11

in dosbox i never need all the functon printer of dosbox-x, no, never , .... one more make transform the print stuff, noooooooooo

A pipe is ok for me to a outside Folder on HostFS ,....... rawfile mostly.. like , 😉

I mean the best is, only capture the parallel port in dos. Pipe it to a HostFS Folder File

In Dosbox:
So i use DOS like dir > LPT1: , it goes to parallel port > HostFS Folder like printer.prn

So i use WIN 3.11 with a Driver Epson LX or LQ , it goes to parallel port > HostFS Folder like printer.prn

So i use GEMDOS whateverdriver > HostFS Folder like printer.prn

Also only make a pipe for the parallel port , thx a lot, i wish very mutch, the rest in dosbox is very ok 😉

The Problem, on what time i kill the print.prn file in my HostFS , is my Problem, also not a Problem 😉 😀)) hehe

So i have in Hatari Emulator - > Device -> Parallel Port Print to file on host ,,, just like that , very simple.... no more, don't make a glory, it will not be used, rawfile from capture is ok 😉

Also my virtual Printerspooler in HostFS Folder and file, i only want as a config option... and only rawfile from the Parallel port 😉

The Rest, just capture the parallel port 😉
