I've installed DOSBOX under Linux and want to mount the c drive automatically when I start up. I assume I can add this to a config file but I can't find where the config file is? I see an autoexec.bat in the Z drive but how do I edit it if I don't have "edit" or "edlin"?

I've read some online help files but still haven't figured it out. What is the name of the dosbox manual? Maybe I can find that on my hard drive.

Thanks for any advice.

Steve

The config file is called dosbox.conf (and it has an [autoexec] section at the end). For more information on this file, check out the on-line documentation here. It's a wiki linked from the homepage as FAQ. A bit of a misnomer these days.

Type config -writeconf dosbox.conf at the DOSBox Z:\> prompt to create a new one.
Exit DOSBox and edit it. It's a plain text file.
